Women who attend the event enjoy a variety of pampering services like manicures, pedicures, massages, mini-makeovers and more. They also get to shop, participate in a silent auction, win door prizes, enjoy wine and hors d'oeuvres and have a night out with the girls while raising money and awareness for a wonderful cause. Visit www.lcgirlsnightout.org for more information.

SHAKESPEARE Authorship CONFERENCE (August 4 – 7, 2011)
Did Shakespeare write Shakespeare or was it someone else with a better education and broader life experience? For more than 150 years scholars have puzzled over how a relatively uneducated boy from the inconsequential English town of Stratford-upon-Avon could have produced the greatest plays and poems the world has ever seen. The city of Las Cruces, NM, home to New Mexico State University, announces its first annual Shakespeare Authorship Conference. The conference will provide equal time for representatives of any and all Shakespeare claimants. Speakers are invited to nominate themselves or their groups, and will be given full and fair opportunity to make their case and argue the toss with everyone else. Floor debates will be encouraged and Conference attendees will be invited at the beginning and end of the proceedings to vote for the candidate they think wrote the plays, poems and sonnets. Visit http://www.shakespeareauthorship.net for more information.

And there's always more in the works. Check back here or follow us on Facebook for more announcements.
